The standard

roofsnorwalk.com is meant to work for everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control. The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What is in place

• Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color contrast; the ratios are recorded with the site's source.
• Every page works with a keyboard, shows a visible focus outline and starts with a "skip to content" link.
• Photos have text alternatives. Icons are decorative and hidden from screen readers.
• Pages are built with headings, lists and landmarks, so they can be navigated by structure.
• Animation is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Phone numbers are real links that work with assistive technology and with one tap on a phone.

Known limits

The service works by phone. If a call is hard for you, send an email and a way to reach a contractor will be found with you.
